Ceremony Decoration Help!

I want to use ivory tulle on the edge of the church pews (knotted like you would a scarf) but I am worried the ivory will be too bland, but I worry red, our other color, will be too much. Someone suggested sticking a fake red flower into the tulle knot. What do you ladies think? Suggestions are very very welcome!

    something was posted on the boards a few days ago (can't seem to find it now) where a bride tied the fabric as your talking about and then tucked baby's breath into the knot. You could do something like this but with a red flower (similar to the idea you posted) - but I would stick to a live flower for this.

    you could also do something like this (below) but with tule:



    ...or,  even better, you could wrap the tule (widely) and include a red sash or thick ribbon in the center of it and then tie them in a french knot...but that's just off the top of my head. hopefully it helped a bit...

    What if you did red AND ivory tulle tied them together to make the knot and used it that way.


    Or you could do something like this. I know it's more for gift wrapping but you could add stuff to it to make it more wedding like. You could add flowers or tulle or something.

    I love the above ideas! But if your church already has a bunch of colors then I think you could get away with it being plain ivory.

    I like the idea of using ivory tulle & then adding a pop of red with a flower in the knot.

    I really agree with this. Our church is very plain so it would be easy to decorate but if your church has more than 2 colors I would stick to ivory. I didn't not think of that at all good catch!
