Wedding Band Dilema

I have a solitaire diamond engagement ring but I think I wan to do something more unique for my band. I was thinking of one of those bands with the two stones on each side that fit around the solitaire (what are they called?) but with different stones in it (rather than more diamonds).
Where could I get something like this? Do jewelry shops make custom rings anymore? What are your unique ideas for ring sets?

    I think the type of band you're looking for is called a "wrap" which is the style I have and fiance's sister has...she has a ruby on either side of her solitaire (her birthstone) and I will have an emerald (fiance's birthstone -- my birthstone is the diamond) on either side of my solitaire.  Our jeweler did make a custom ring but they may also have some pre-made wraps that you could put in whatever stone you like.  If you call around to local jewelers it shouldn't be too hard to find somewhere you can have something made.

    A wrap or enhancer is what you are long for. Check out www.stuller.com and search for a local jeweler who uses them.
