Beauty Questions

Hello,

I am currently planning my wedding from the NW Pacific area and will be married in Columbus, OH this December.

A few questions:

Best make-up artist in Columbus? Hair? Spray tans? Preferrably in the Dublin area?

Hotels: Best prices and suites in the Dublin area? Preferrably Dublin-Granville Rd. area.

    I am using Feamster for my make-up, but I'm using her reference Jen King for hair. Jen is awesome and works with Alison frequently so they both work well with eachother! Spray tans I'm not too sure of....

    I booked both Allison and Shannon for my wedding. 

    I don't recommend spray tans. If you sweat it will come off and stain the inside of your dress. But, if you do decide to with one I recommend the airbrush spray tan at Papillon in the Hilton at Polaris. That's where I get mine done and she does a great job. :)

    Hey girls.. For spray tans I recommend South Beach in Pickerington, Ohio. The manager there does a great job and if you get it at least the day before the wedding then you don't need to worry about sweating it off in your dress!

    I'm using Alison Feamster and Jennifer King, too! I have my hair and makeup trials both on April 16.

    Both ladies have been awesome to work with so far, and I've never heard anything but great things about them!

    Another girl for Make Up is Kelly Ramey so fun. My friend used her last summer and she has a great shop in Victorian Village and will travel to you.  She did my make up as a bridesmaid too.  I think the bride is $100 .Not 100% positive on price.  She paid for all of us, so not sure.  But very light and natural. I have her card somewhere. I'll check for her info. If you google her, she has a website.

    Hello fellow pacific northwester!  I live in Washington state and am also having a wedding back home in Columbus.

    Ditto Kelly Ramey for makeup.  She's so fun and she did a great job at my makeup trial.  She charges $150 for the bride ($50/bridesmaid), which includes 1.5 hours for the trial, lashes, 1 hour alloted time for day of makeup, and lip gloss for touch ups for the day of the wedding.  Her website is: beautimarkedbykelli.com  You can also find her on facebook.

    I am also using Alison Feamster and Jennifer King!  I cannot wait for my trials but I still need to get around to having those scheduled. :)

    Pretty much everyone answered for the beauty question - Bronze tan studio near that area does spray tanning too, I use the beds so I'm not sure how well it stays.

    We are getting our hair done at Charles Penzone Grand Salon in Dublin, the cheapest is around $50/updo depending on how complicated it is the price goes up.  They also do makeup there too.

    Hotels - there are a ton at 161 and 270 area in Dublin - We have a block at Crown Plaza for a special rate of 99, our friend has one at the Embassy Suites for 120 but they are all suites so they are more expensive.  There is also a Hampton Inn, Marriott, and I can't think of the others but there are a ton of hotels in that area.  We've had a few issues with people saying they would send a contract and never received it, but we just calling them back.  Kind of a pain, but we finally got what we needed.  Hope this helps!

    We used MelissaRoshan for makeup. Incredibly talented and such a sweetheart! For tanning, I got a spray tan for our engagement photos and wedding at Mukha Spa in the Short North. The tan lasted a long time and was even (it's hand-sprayed, not booth sprayed). I'd recommend going 2-3 days before the wedding if you don't want the tan to rub off and it gives it a chance to fade just a little, so it's not "Oompa-Loompa" fresh. I'd definitely do a trial for the tan, and then do a makeup trial soon after so your makeup artist gets a good idea of your coloring for the wedding.
