    I <3 New Years, Drinking beer on a patio in the summer and I'm a Samantha (and I named my car that too.)

    I lurked maybe 2 weeks before I posted here, and I was skerred.

    Now if you'll excuse me I have to go have sushi at Blue Fish, but when I come back I expect a full blown out Nancy Grace/Tot Mom discussion thread.

    How long have you been lurking? I lurked for about a year, then started posting only two months before the wedding (well, I posted a handful of times -- but always holding my breath, afraid of getting ripped to shreds. I still remember my first post, and stephiehall responded and was totally sweet to me. Thanks, stephie!
    What is your favorite holiday? My birthday. (Does that count?) Every year, my DH and I go on a weekend trip and my parents meet us there. (We live far apart so I only see them at Christmas otherwise). Last year was San Antonio. This year? Vegas, baby!
    What is your favorite Texas summertime activity? I've only lived here one summer, and we didn't do very much because of crazy job situations at the time. We're now getting our backyard in shape to grill out.

    I'll play too, since I'm waiting for the storm to pass so I can go to Joann Fabrics to buy some ribbon for the programs and OOT bags :)

    How long have you been lurking? I lurked for a few days and asked permission to go to the G2G @ Uncle Julios (last September I think it was?). I'm so glad I went!
    What is your favorite holiday? Halloween. It also doubles as my birthday! SO yes, Marie, of course a birthday counts! That sounds like a fun tradition!!
    What is your favorite Texas summertime activity? Margaritas and mexican food on any patio. I love how patio friendly Dallas restaurants are. I like the people watching that goes along with it!
    Are you a Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte or Samantha?  I've been through phases of each of them, but I'm mostly a Carrie.

    No lie, this made me giggle a little bit now that I know you. :P

    Lurking: A few weeks.  I knew the proposal was coming (girls from last G2G know the ring shoved in pants story :P)

    Holiday:  Halloween (yay costumes and makeup!) and 4th of July (sucker for fireworks)

    Activity:  Patios + margaritas/beer = win.  We also like going to either our family lakehouse in East Texas or the condo at South Padre.

    SitC character?  I never really liked it or watched it.  I know, I am a horrible female :P  I would say I am most like the blond girl from Bridesmaids.  A little nuts, can't handle my alcohol and always find a way to mess things up in the worst way :P

    ~about a month, trying to figure out my way around and I'm sure I'm gonna like it!
    b) What is your favorite holiday?
    ~probably Christmas, I like the family get togethers (and presents ;))  Probably 4th of July best b/c its warmer and usually means going on the lake!
    c) What is your favorite Texas summertime activity?
    ~Outdoor concerts and sitting on the porch with some good friends and drinks!
    d) Are you a Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte or Samantha?
    ~Definitely Charlotte!

    I must say that I have looked at different boards and this is the BEST one!! I have posted on some others and am lucky to get one response!  I would rather get 20 of good and bad like here than 1 that is just ok! lol Y'all seem great and i am excited to get to know yall over the next year or so!

    How long have you been lurking? I lurked for about a month, because I wasn't officially engaged yet. I knew it was coming around his graduation, but didn't want to post until it was official.

    What is your favorite holiday? Thanksgiving or 4th of July

    What is your favorite Texas summertime activity? Tubing on the Guadalupe!!! Going this weekend, can't wait!

    funny I never really lurked before joining. I knew about it so I joined and found DFW!

    b) What is your favorite holiday?
    Christmas and 4th of July!

    c) What is your favorite Texas summertime activity?
    Grilling and having fun! When I think of summer I think of 4th of July and grilling and having fun with family and friends!

    I'm mainly Carrie and Charlotte-however I do have my Miranda and Samantha moments!

    I lurked about 2 weeks then I posted my introduction. And even though Im not planning a wedding and Im not a OMH Im still here.. kind of sad.. but I enjoy you girls too much!

    I took a quiz once and I turned out to be Carrie, but I think I haver a lot of Miranda in me.

    a) How long have you been lurking?
    I signed up as soon as I could after my proposal (arm immobilized in sling=painful typing); lurked and researched for a couple of weeks and then posted.  Y'all have been very welcoming and helpful.

    b) What is your favorite holiday?
    I love me some Christmas and Thanksgiving for all the traditional reasons.  However, in the last few years,  some of the lesser holidays have jumped to the forefront.  Memorial Day because my FI and I usually head to south Georgia/Florida and spend it with my family and the 4th of July because we roadtrip to Missouri to spend that with his family.  Creating our own new traditions.

    c) What is your favorite Texas summertime activity?
    Can't go wrong with a patio, cold adult beverage, and people to watch.  I also enjoy getting on the back of the Harley and watching the scenery go by (as long as we don't get into stop-and-go traffic because then it is just miserably hot on that bike!!!

    d) Are you a Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte or Samantha?
    I am probably most like Miranda because I am the responsible, practical one, but still want to be invited and participate in all the fun.  I wish I could be more like Carrie in her expression and creativity.  However, I have some of Charlotte's romanticism and some of Samantha's skepticism.  So, I guess my answer is "yes".Smile

    I've posted some, but never officially said my date, so am I a semi-lurker?

    I'm getting married September 24, 2011 here in Dallas.  My brother is getting married in August and my fiance's brother in October so this is the year of the wedding!  All weddings, all the time.

    a) How long have you been lurking?

    Since I got engaged in January!  I resisted going online until the big question... of course I created my profile the very next day.

    b) What is your favorite holiday?

    THANKSGIVING!  Food, drinks, family, football, and you don't have to buy presents for anyone (such pressure)!  Hands down, the best.

    c) What is your favorite Texas summertime activity?

    Ranger games!  The fiance and I go to a lot.  Actually, we met on match.com, and he was baseballguy_634-- piqued my interest!  We are going to have a Texas Rangers grooms' cake at the wedding.

    d) Are you a Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte or Samantha?

    I'm a redheaded lawyer, but frankly I'm not that much like Miranda other than that!  I'd say more Charlotte-- romantic and traditional.  But without the fabulous penthouse (boohoo).

    I lurked for a couple of months!!!

     Favorite holiday is Halloween, I love that time of year in Texas. not too hot and not cold!!

    Favorite sumer sport, floating the river and drinking beer!! Well I drink beer even when it is cold out, but whose counting????

    And Carrie, not very responsible and i LOVE shoes!!! Although, I am not nearly as fashionable as she is, because I work for the phone company, but I can spot a fake from a mile away!!!!

    Hi! I will admit i have been a lurker almost every other day since i got engaged 

    a) How long have you been lurking? Since last October! I know crazy huh? LOL! You guys always give the BEST information and tips.
    b) What is your favorite holiday? My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving.. its all the great food and family time but doesnt have all the present pressure that Christmas brings. 
    c) What is your favorite Texas summertime activity? I am a pool girl! Pool parties are the best :) 
    d) Are you a Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte or Samantha? I am the Carrie of my group with a hint of Samatha inside me somewhere ;)

    About a week or so but I finally posted tonight! I've been engaged for 6 months though

    What is your favorite holiday?
    Hmmm...I love Christmas and the 4th of July. I love that Christmas is basically a month long celebration season and I love the traditions. However, I love going to the lake, watching fireworks, and having a cold drink on the 4th!

    What is your favorite Texas summertime activity?
    I love laying out by the pool or having margaritas on the patio at Joe T's!

    Are you a Carrie, Miranda, Charoltte, or Samantha?
    I actually had to google to find out who they were lol! I haven't ever seen the show so I'm not sure!
