Hotel Question.

Does anyone know the closest hotels to Cortlandt Manor?  I heard a Holiday Inn was opening up in Peekskill but no word on it.

Also,
If your ceremony and reception are far apart, should I stay at a hotel close to the ceremony or close to the reception the night before?

Hi! I live in Peekskill, nothing has happend with the hotel here yet. The closest thing is the Peekskill Inn, but it's nothing fancy.  Next closest hotels would be in FIshkill or Tarrytown or Pleasantville.

Ditto to everything Jaimie said! ( But I think she mean Mt Kisco) I am from near that area and a lot of hotels were talked about during wedding planning - one in Brewster, one in Carmel, and the one you are talking about in Peekskill.

Nothing has been done with any of them.

If your reception is in Cortlandt, select a hotel for your guests in most likely either Tarrytown or Fishkill. (HI in Mt Kisco is good, but it's the only one and if your room block gets filled, there is no hotel next door for the overflow of guests.)

For you, it all depends on what you want. Are you also planning to spend your wedding night there? Remember the night before the wedding, you might need to drop stuff off at your reception venue, but in the morning you will need to travel to your ceremony site. So it depends on how far you feel comfortable being away from where you have to go.

If you are planning to also spend your wedding night at the same hotel, how long do you want to wait to get back to your room with new husband ;)

However, if you are planning on staying in the same hotel as your guests, for them select whatever hotel town is closest to the reception. Early in the day people will have more energy to drive to your ceremony, they aren't going to want to have to travel a long distance at the end of the night.

    GL! HTH!

    Congrats on your upcoming wedding!
