    Satin is a style of fabric weave, not a specific fabric. Expensive satins are spun with silk but most are spun with polyester. Chances are the chair covers are just polyester spun in a way to give it a satin finish. If the chair covers look good with the tablecloth, you're fine.

    It looked fine.
    Satin table linens tend to slide around.
    You should do:
    Satin chair covers, organza/satin chair sashes, polyester table cloths, and satin runners or overlays with polyester napkins
    That's what I did sans the runner/overlay.
