Booking Hotel Blocks

I just found a great way to book blocks of rooms!  If you go to Priceline.com then go to group bookings.  I just put in my wedding info and what days I would want along with how many rooms.  I just got about 10 bids on my dates from different hotels in the area.  It was so easy!!

that's pretty neat.  Will you book the block directly through priceline, or will you still speak to the sales manager at each hotel?  The only reason I ask is because I am in the process of looking into area hotels and each one has so many different policies.  For example, one I looked into had a great rate, free shuttle to venue, etc, but then come to find out if we didn't meet the 15 minimum room block, FI and I would charged for any rooms within the 15 block that didn't get book.  Ummmmmm no thank you!  So I would just make sure that before you make a final decision you speak to the sales person at the hotel and make sure you are aware of all the terms and conditions of the room block.
  • Each hotel sent me an online contract to look at and if I wanted to make changes or discuss something with them, then I could call and speak to someone.

So far everyone I have dealt with told me that I do not have to pay for any unbooked rooms.  I can't believe that they would expect you to do that!!  I'll double check everything again!!
    Thanks!
