Wedding Woes

A tiny lift for me.

The weekend was rough, between work being crazy, short staffed and the news about Ww, I was feeling so beat up this morning.

Saturday was the worst day of work, I felt like I couldn't be there enough for both the patients I had as early on inductions. One ultimately ended up having a c-section yesterday late afternoon.
I don't know if I've mentioned it here before, but my mom and I both work per diem at my hospital, she was working last night. She ended up taking care of the patient after her c section. Somehow talk turned to her induction time downstairs and my name came up. The patient complimented me and said my care to her was some of the best she'd had during her stay so far.

My mom called and left me a message this morning to let me know. I really felt like I had ignored the patient, I just didn't have the time to stop and just be with her like I normally do. Her praise really lifted my spirits some today.

That's so nice, and a testament to what a great nurse you are.

You and my mom can by my doulas. I'm guaranteeing that H will be passed out cold. She'll love that you're 1)  a west coast L&D and 2) a CNM.
