Venue: Palm Beach Shores Community Center

Any knotties get married here or take a serious look?  We did some go-sees yesterday.  My FI is excited about this place b.c. it is less expensive than other venues.  Any opinions are welcome!

Did you see this on your own or did someone from the community center show it to you?

Are you a resident of Palm Beach Shores?

I'm only asking because as a city employee, I know how community center rentals generally work.

    Keep in mind the following:
    - If using a city/town facility, you have to provide everything!
    - Palm Shores does allowed alcohol, but you CAN"T sell it, meaning you can't have cash bar, you have to have open bar.
    - you have to use their catering companies and they can charge you so much, because they know you have to use them
    - everything has to be free - standing (decorations-wise) nothing hanging from the walls or ceilings (in most cases)
    - if you have candles, you have to go through the Fire Inspector for approval
    - the event itself has to be approved by commission (some cities are like this)

I'm in no way trying to scare you...just want you to know what renting a city building entails.

The big thing to consider...with renting EVERYTHING and having it catered...it might be more expensive than just having it at a venue that provides all that already.

Compare those two factors together....it may work out that the community center comes out cheaper than a venue that has everything.

I hope this helps....you know how to reach me if you have any other questions!

I checked it out and is seemed nice, but a little far away from the water for my liking. Plus, like Danielle said, you have to bring EVERYTHING in, which can cost more than paying the per head cost at an actual venue. I looked EVERYWHERE in Singer Island, WPB, Jupiter and the place I fell in love with (and worked in my little budget) was Jupiter Beach Resort. If you are interested in that venue, ask for Jonathan. He will work in any budget and you can go as low as $99 per head. Check them out on FB if you want under "Jupiter Beach Resort Weddings." There are a ton of wedding pics on there from previous weddings. I just booked my wedding there and I'm super excited! Feel free to email me with any questions too - I have checked out a lot of places since I live in Jupiter and wanted to get married in Palm Beach County.
