  If it has a built-in corset then you should be good-to-go.  You can get cups sewn into your dress if you think it will help, but most dresses with corsets are supportive enough that you probably don't need to wear an actual separate bra.

  
  

  As for panties, just wear whatever you feel comfortable in.  I wore spanx shorts that went from mid-thigh to just below my boobs (I didn't have a corset built into my dress, so I needed something to suck me in).   If you feel okay in normal panties, then go with it:-)

  There are a lot of people that swear by a long line bra, but most dresses have enough structure that you might not need it.  I had a strapless dress and wore a strapless bra under it.  My seamstress sewed in a "bra guard" to hold the bra under the dress or you can have them sew in cups, which in hindsite I probably should have done, just to eliminate the possiblity of any bra showing.  Unless your dress is particularly form fitting, the type of panties don't mater except for personal preference. I would keep in mind that you will probably be needing help to get into your dress, so whom ever that is likely to be, you'll want to wear something that you are comfortable with them seeing you wearing.
