Venue ideas/Non traditional

Hi. We are planning to get married May 2012.  We would like a venue that holds between 150-200 people that we can hire our own caterer and bring our own liquor/bartender.  We are not from Maryland so we are unfamiliar with the available venues. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. Ideally looking for somewhere north of Baltimore.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!

1840s Ballroom might work for you, but that's in downtown Baltimore.  http://1840sballroom.com/

I know a couple other places in the city, Baltimore Museum of Industry, and the American Visionary Art Museum, are pretty non-traditional, but I don't know if you can bring in your own caterer and liquor there.  I think you can, but I didn't look there so I'm not certain.

I would suggest the Greenspring Manor Mansion - its North of Baltimore and absolutely gorgeous.  They have an awesome preferred caterer - Eleven Courses, who is also their booking/reservation co., but you are allowed to bring outside caterer's as well.

My sister just got married their and I am getting married there in the fall!  I would def give them a call, they have really reasonable rates and give you a free wedding planner service with all bookings!  Their website is www.elevencourses.com
