Wedding Officiant

My FI and I are not really religious as we are from two different cultures.  I am looking into wedding officiants and we aren't wanting to pay more than $100.  I am not sure if my expectations are set too high, but are wedding officiants really that affordable?  If so, can anyone suggest someone?

Thanks

Try Signature Ceremonies website.  That's who we are looking at as well and as far as I can tell they are very accomodating to any type of ceremony you are looking for.

I'd recommend Judge Stephen Swartz from the Douglas County Courthouse.  His fee is $100.  He has a great ceremony that he allows you to add to or modify however you like, and he delivers his ceremonies beautifully.  He married a friend of mine a few years ago so I used him for my wedding too.  Such a nice guy.  He does a lot of weddings in Omaha, very popular.

Another idea could be for you to choose someone special to you to perform the ceremony themselves. My FI and I will be having my Uncle officiate the wedding. They can get ordained for free online and in NE (I have double checked because I'm surprised it's so easy) they don't need to provide any letters of recommendation or certifications as long as they are ordained. I am excited to add this extra special personal touch to our wedding, as we aren't faithful parishiners and I feel more comfortable with my uncle than a judge or someone I've not met before. Just an idea!
