Hyland Lake or The Marsh wedding ceremony? (still searching for an outdoor location!)

Has anyone ever had or been to a wedding at Hyland Lake Park in Bloomington or The Marsh in Minnetonka? I'm having a really hard time finding a ceremony site that has a back up location in case of rain (or at least one that lets you have just the ceremony and not the reception), and these seem like they might work, but I can't find much info on past weddings held there.

I'm in love with Noerenburg Gardens in Orono, but there's no back up location and I really don't want to have my ceremony at my reception space if it ends up raining.

I started to get excited about some of the Minneapolis parks, but then found out you can't have amplified music, and that's a deal breaker for me - I've had my heard set on my enterance song for way too long to give it up, heh :)

Anyhow, TIA for any info you ladies might have!

Centennial Lakes Park has a real pretty ampitheather for an outdoor ceremony and their centrum building as backup/reception location. That might work for you depending on the size of your guest list :-)

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm sorrry I forgot to include my guest list number previously - we're thinking it'll be around 200 people. I like Centennial Lakes, however their indoor space I don't think would accomodate 200 people. Sorry for not including that earlier!

I went to a wedding reception (the ceremony was somewhere else) at the Marsh a few years ago.  I thought it was a really nice place, and the food was good.  The venue had a lot of flowers on the deck and the lobby area, so there wasn't a need to spend a lot on decorations.  I considered it for my wedding, but we needed a bigger place!

Jessy, thank you so much! The more I look at the pictures, the more I think it might just be perfect. Plus I actually took some classes that were held there in high school, which is kinda funny to me, heh. :) I emailed for more info, hopefully they get back to me soon! thanks again!

I live out in Orono. Norenburg Gardens is amazing. Everyone, I mean it!, goes there for proposals, proms, dances, weddings, etc! I forewarn you about the parking if you do pick that! It's not that big. But check out The Woods. Not very far from Norenberg, I live right near both. The Chapel can hold 250 and you get the chapel in case it does rain outside. The out door space holds 350. It's absolutely beautiful! There is a pond with a bridge right behind you as you say I do! Many plants and flowers. And you also get the bridal cottage. It's a bit more expensive though for my budget at The Woods. And we are having a winter wedding, so that won't work!
