In March my FI proposed and, because he wasn't sure what type of ring I wanted, he picked out a beautiful princess cut solitaire diamond and put it on a basic silver band. A couple months later he took me to the store to pick out the setting together (although he ended up actually picking it out and doing a fantastic job!) and a couple months after that we finally got to pick it up! And I got it on my birthday so it was like a double surprise!
I was just so thrilled and figured I'd share with the other soon to be brides. It turned out even more gorgeous than i ever could have asked for! I'm so very lucky to get to marry my best friend in 326 days. Gotta love that countdown!
