Invites to ex-friends?

My fiance and I sent out our save the dates over Christmas to a bunch of our friends.  One friend has recently gotten into a huge fight with my fiance.  My fiance tried to work it out but I just don't think it's going to happen.

My question is should we still send this couple an invite to the wedding?  I know that etiquette dictates we should, but I don't want to add fuel to the fire when I'm pretty sure they won't come.

    i would wait until its closer to your wedding and see how the friendship is then.  if you're still 'not friends', i wouldn't send it.  but you have awhile, so i'd ride it out for now.

    I would do it. It is really a two-way street. Proper etiquette dictates you send the invite, but they are definitely able to decline on their own, which I imagine they will do unless you've patched things up. So by sending it you are following the "rules" and leaving it in their hands. Their decision!
