Using Pearl's Place to price match?

So I have seen on here that some of you guys have gotten better deals on your wedding dresses by using the pricing from Pearl's Place and having a local store price match. My questions is how have you shown that Pearl's sells it for that price. 

Pearl's Place is selling my dress for almost $200 less than Bridal Mart.  Bridal Mart says I need something in writing from Pearl's but it doesn't seem like Pearl's does that for this exact reason.  I tried emailing them to ask the price but they said I have to call to find out.  I could just buy my dress from Pearl's but prefer to use a local store if possible.

    I called and got a verbal quote on my dress from Pearl's Place then I spoke with the bridal shop I wanted to order it from.  It was pretty casual, I said I could get it from there for x price and asked if they could do better than that, which they did.

    hah...what...you think you should get the mailorder price matched at a local store.  let's try that at best buy also.

    Just ask the local store if they can meet the quote you got at Pearls Place. Most will probably be willing to meet it or beat it.

    I just ordered through Pearl's place.  They were so helpful on the phone and really worked with me that I didn't mind buying it from them. And the delivery wasfaster then expected.  Plus, they are near New Orleans, so I didn't mind passing along some business to the area.  I love it there.

    Thanks guys! Maybe I will just order from Pearl's. All I have heard from anyone who has ordered from them is great things!
