Pantyhose

We have a couple of weddings coming up and I bought 2 great dresses yesterday at White House Black Market.  The weddings are at the end of April and early October.  They are both knee length dresses.  I'm not usually one for pantyhose but I feel like it would be more appropriate to wear them.  I think I'm at that age now, plus it might be a little chilly.

Can anyone suggest a brand that looks natural?  I hate the shiny look.  I want something that's not too noticeable.  Does anyone think it's okay to go bare??  I have some veins from dancing for so long that I'd rather not show but fortunately, they tend to lose their appearance with sunless tanner.   TIA

I didn't know people really wore pantyhose.... but if you go to the store, they normally have samples, so you can see which ones are not shiny. But if your leggs are tanner than your arms it wont look natural. So I guess you should get the lightest of the tans they have.... idk if that helps :)

so u don't wear them??   I noticed that a lot of the woman/girls at our wedding wore them (not all but the ones my age did).  It was a chilly night so I figured that was why.  I started to think that not wearing them was less formal.  I don't know lol.

I wear tights, like black ones... I don't really wear nude ones. Idk haha. maybe I don't know what I am talking about either. I just thought people dont. But you can! :)  I don't think its stupid.  We can go look at them next weekend :)

I don't usually wear them.l  I have ugly legs from dancing too.  I usually tan or something to try to cover it up.  My grandmother gets so mad when she sees people not wearing pantyhose.  I don't think she figured out that I wasn't wearing them on my wedding day.
I hate when people wear pantyhose and open toed shoes.  I would wear the open toed pantyhose if they do that.  My mom went out to find them the day of my wedding lol.
If it's cold I would wear some, I'm not sure about brands etc though.

I wore them on my wedding day just b/c I was cold.  I wasn't going to but my mom brought them the morning of and I was thankful she did.  The art museum steps on a windy November day are COLD!!  You couldn't even tell under my dress.  I planned on taking them off at the reception but didn't want to miss anything so I left them on.

For someone else's wedding, I'd rather go bare.  I just thought for some reason it was more age appropriate to wear them now.  I guess I'm not that old lol.

I wear pantyhose during the winter months.  I get nude/tan color.  I get Just My Size, but then I am plus size :)

I HATE HATE HATE them.  To the point that I won't wear dresses/skirts in the winter unless I can get away with wearing high boots without pantyhose.  April and October aren't too cold, so I don't think you have to wear them, and I don't think you will look inappropriately dressed because of it.

I haaaaate pantyhose. If I'm wearing it, they're thigh high's with a garter belt. Victorias secret's are good for them though. If you can get away with self tanner, do it. It wont be that cold in those two months.

I never wear pantyhose.  I'd rather flaunt my "classic ivory" legs.

Apparently I am the only person on this board who wears pantyhouse all the time in the winter with skirts?  And doesn't care what brand it is as long as it's a light tan color and cheap?

I wear them, usually L'eggs or something.  In the winter, I usually wear black ribbed tights.

I'm actually wearing them today because it's cold, I"m wearing a black dress and black boots and didn't want to look like Elvira, and my legs are incredibly pasty.

Now that I think about it, I think I need to wear them with skirts, per my company's dress code.

LRM--You aren't alone.  I wear them, too.. mostly because they make my thighs look awesome. I know no one sees my thighs because I have a knee-length skirt on.. but it makes me feel good.  I also hate being cold.  I don't wear them in the summer, though.  And I have some shoes where I can't wear any hose at all because my feet slide around, and other shoes where I have to wear something or else they'll hurt.

I wear them all the time. Every day in the winter with my skirts. Sometimes I'll wear thy highs... but mostly panty hose. I wore them at my wedding too. I <3 pantyhose. I don't shave as much in the winter because my legs get so dry, so this helps that too.

If I wear open toed shoes/strappy shoes I don't wear them, but as long as the toe is closed you better believe they are on. And ditto LRM, I get cheap one's. I find I like them better then Legs or whatever that brand is... they aren't as tight in the stomach. Cheaper brands fit a little loser and I like that (and i'm not a big girl). I may not wear them for an April wedding, but would Def. wear them for an October wedding.

    ha partyhose.

I'm not used to wearing them unless they're ballet tights.  I wear jeans to my other job.  So I have no clue as I don't wear skirts or dresses everyday.  If I wear them, I just don't want the shiny kind.  They remind me of the 80s and old ladies.

Ditto shiny kind...I will also state that I don't like them in summer.  Nothing says ick like pantyhose swamp ass in July.  I didn't wear any hose with my wedding dress since it was so hot under those 75 payers of lace and tulle ;)  Fit is less of an issue for me than is not feeling disappointment when they run after only a few wears.  $3 hose from CVS is a lot less sad than $20 thigh-highs from Victoria's Secret in my opinon.

I sadly wear them frequently for work.  The microfiber ones aren't shiny.
