Park Avenue Bridal?

I have begiun my dress search and because I need a plus size dress, I have asked some friends and family for recommendations of locations in which I can try on a dress athat is my size (18/20) and within my budget (under $1,500) and I keep getting told of Park Avenue Bridal in Verona, NJ.

I was wondering if anyone on here had any feedback about this place?

Thanks!

I'm a street size 16 and heard about that shop from this board because I was getting frustrated trying on tiny samples in other shops.

I went twice ... once with a friend (Gina helped me) and again with my mom (Ginny helped me), and found the dress I wanted during the second visit. They had plenty of dresses that fit me and some were even too big. The dress I wound up buying was something I'd seen online and specifically requested if they had it, but both women were great at pulling stuff off the rack that wound up looking very nice on me. I told them my budget, which was a little less than yours, and they had plenty of things for me to choose from.

Once I selected my dress, Ginny put some veils on me to model, but I didn't want to pay what they were asking (I wanted something super-plain) so I just ordered it online and paid less than half of what the salon wanted to charge me.

I ordered the dress in June and they said to expect it after New Year's, so I can't comment yet on alterations and delivery speed. But so far I'm very pleased with them and would recommend them. Hope this helps!

I ordered my dress from Park Ave Bridal as well. I actually picked the 1st dress that I tried on but Genny was great because she wanted me to try on all the different styles to make sure I loved the 1st one. They had a great selection of plus size dresses to try on!! I also ordered my dress in June and it will not be in until around April... so I cant comment on anything else but the ordering process. Check it out!!

Mine wasn't plus-sized but i had a wonderful experience with Park Avenue from start to finish!

The only thing i wasn't crazy about was their up-front price for alterations, which i think was $250-ish when i ordered mine 2+ years ago. I know it's gone up since then. I literally only needed a hem done since it was a corset-backed dress.... $250 seems like alot for just a hem! Then they charged me extra for the bustle (don't remember how much) and for the sewn-in cups. But the alterations were done well and in a timely manner, so i just sucked it up and paid  ;-)

I ordered my dress there.  I negotiated free alterations, but bustling is extra (starting at $125) I found them to be so nice and very helpful- so far.  I only ordered, it won't be in until May-ish
