Engagement Photo Recommendations?

I wasn't going to do engagement photos, but I'm thinking about having them done so we have something to put on the STD's and the wedding website once we make one. I don't want to spend a lot of money on them. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Not sure if you picked & booked a photographer yet, but some photographers may include an engagement photo session in their packages.

I agree with pp to do them with your photographer if you can. I found it was a great way to get comfortable with them and for them to learn our personalities. It also helped that we were already acquainted with them for the day of the wedding - one less unknown to worry about!

if it's int he area he'll be UBER inexpensive and he KNOWS a ton of locations - if you let him have free reign and just give him an idea of what you are looking for - he will create the most amazing experience...we prefer locust grove for pics having lived in poughkeepsie...but the waterfront there is cool and if you want more of a "broken down" background there are train tracks...and really cool stone backgrounds down there - if not then a more mountain-like backdrop is awesome like mohonk - they have the wrap around porch with rocking chairs that could be totally cute but then you'd have to pay for entrance into the house and what not - which couls add up just to have a basic head shot......
REALLY - I would just do it downtown - like walking hand in hand down a street or on the train tracks - totally cute!  even the bridge would be nice at dusk (MINUS traffic of course)....
    best wishes!
