Fifth Anniversary 1000 Comments Combo Breaker
in June 2012 Weddings

...close out the party songs. Our DJ is asking us how we want to close the party since it's supposed to be on a high note and we were thinking Starships by Nicki Minaj. We're supposed to send our list in by tomorrow - next Friday at the latest.

    Traditionally my family (read: dad) requests that American Pie by Don McLean be played as the finale.  My FMIL has requested Last Dance by Donna Summer ... we'll see!

    I like when the last song of the night is a slow one. I am thinking of using "The Way You Look Tonight" the version in the movie Father of the Bride.

    It's so funny that my dad suggested this too - but this is our first dance song so we couldn't go this route. It's amazing how many people use this song for a part of their wedding! Sinatra is timeless!

    I thought about it for first dance song too, but FI wanted something different so we are going with last dance.

    Ours will either be Journey-  "Don't Stop Believin'"  or "I had the Time of my LIfe" but for Time of My Life we will use the Glee version to support our Gleekiness ;)  Either way both songs will be played during the reception. Still unsure which one will close the night. I also really like "Today was a Fairytale" by Taylor Swift but FI wouldn't agree to that one :(
