Engraving ideas

So, I'm going to engrave my FI wedding band and thought it might be a fun discussion.

My FI and I have dated since high school (almost 11 years now) and when he asked me to move in with him after a year I was pretty young and scared. He said to me "Dont worry Babe, it'll work out, it'll be gravy, you'll see." So I'm having 'gravy' engraved on his band. I'm not telling him so hopfully it will be a fun suprise on our wedding day :)

Anyone else go the engraving road? What did you choose?

    That's sweet! I had both our bands engraved with our wedding date and the cute names we call each other by. I have a picture in my bio.

    For his ring:
    a chuisle mo chroi  -  "the pulse of my heart" in Gaelic
    or: mo ghra - "my love"  also in Gaelic

    I have no idea if Ben has even thought about engraving something

    My FI has said he doesn't want a ring so we are just getting a cheap wedding band from a Jewellery shop so I definately wont be paying to get that engraved (as it will cost more than the ring!)

    I need to get my FI's gift (a watch) engraved. Not sure whether to stick with our initials / wedding date or write something meaningful to us!

    Does anyone know how thick a band needs to be to be engraved? We both have e-rings that we LOVE, and I don't think we're going to get new wedding bands. Bu engraving something might be a nice touch.

    <div>Not an expert but I think that thickness isn't an issue. Just maybe some metals cannot be engraved... not sure which ones or why, though.</div>

    I wish we had cute names for eachother but "Babe" and "D" arent very original :p

    "You make me better" actually made me aww out loud :)

    I also bought my FI a watch for our wedding present but wasnt planning on engraving it...hmm
