String Band for Ceremony?

We are having our ceremony outside and want to hire a quartet or trio of stinginstruments (violin, viola, cello, even flute). Estimates so far from Musicians Columbus for 75 minutes are $475-$600. I have had no luck getting in touch with anyone at OSU's music department to see if I could find a few grad students to play.

Has anyone hired a group or have recommendations on less expensive options?

We used a flute and guitar duo called Serenata Duo for our ceremony and cocktail hour and it was under $400. Their rates may have gone up somewhat, but they might be an option. We were very happy with them.

We are using a duo (piano and violin) from our church band. One is a professor from OSU Marion branch, the other is a currently a very talented music student at Ohio State (she plays the violin) named Kristen Peters. I know she has been in a few music groups and might be able to help you with your wedding. I'm not sure how much she would charge, but you can contact her and get more information.
