Bridesmaids take two...

If any of you have only just asked your bridesmaids to be part of the wedding in person, do you plan on sending them something cute in the mail? 

Like a, "Will You be my bridesmaid?" card?


I'm definitely considering this, but do you think it is redundant?

    I took the 3 girls out to dinner and paid for it, and I wrapped up a Bridesmaid handbook in pink paper with a little wedding poem on the front and "Will you be a bridesmaid?" on the front, then I also gave them handwritten notes telling them how much they meant to me. =)

    I am sadly lame and texted most of the girls :) But they know me well enough that a text is pretty much my communication method

    I didn't, and won't be. I think the gesture of asking in itself is a huge honor and IMHO, a card like that would kind of cheapen it I guess.

    Nothing wrong with taking them out for drinks or dinner though :-)

    I just asked them face to face. I'm not doing anything else really, except having them over for supper soon, but that's just an excuse to talk wedding with them all at the same time.

    I got letterpressed cards made they should be here today!!! I am going to get each of them their favorite bottle of wine also. I will post pictures when they come in.

    I didn't do anything fancy... I had just asked the girls once I was with them! Kind of regret not doing something neat, but I hadn't heard of anyone doing it before!

    I bought "Will you be my Bridesmaid Cards" they were 50 cents at a party store. I asked my bridesmaid/maid of honor with the card and gave them each a bottle of wine with the saying " As I prepare for the day I say I do, I hope to have you sipping by my side" or something like that.. They loved it and for my junior bridesmaid/flower girl I gave them the card and a cup cake.. It was great and they all loved it!!!!

    I asked them in person but also made them hangers with their names and personalized poems saying what they each mean to me.  They loved it!

    I definitely think taking them out to dinner would be nice, but I have 4 bridesmaids and 1 moh... I dont have enough money for that lol

    I'm chuckling to myself because I did none of this!!  lol.  My bridesmaids are my family members and friends since childhood (total of 7).  My cousin asked if she can be my bridesmaid....lol.  My one and only sister is my maid of honor (we both know its an unwritten rule that we would stand up for one another!) 

    The card idea is a great gesture if the person you're asking has no idea.
