Fort Worth Vineyards?

FI and I love wine, I thought a vineyard would be a fun place for the wedding, BUT the majority of my guests are close to Fort Worth I don't want to make my guests travel too much. Does anyone know of any with in an hour outside of Fort Worth? If we can't pull that off, we may just try and do the Rehearsal dinner at Times 10 or something like that.

I have a friend getting married at the Tara Vineyard in Athens, TX. But that's on the other side of Dallas.
  • Here's a link to a full listing of all the vineyards in Grapevine. I want to say Grapevine is 25-35 minutes from Ft. Worth, although it could be longer depending on traffic. Other than Grapevine I don't know off the top of my head where any other vineyards might be.

A couple of girls on the board have gotten married at La Buena Vida Vineyards in Grapevine, hopefully they will chime in :)

  • La Buena Vida is gorgeous, but keep in mind it does not have an indoor option!

Ditto La Buena Vida and Delaney in Grapevine. You can rent a tent at La Buena Vida for an extra $1,500--they told me it is really large.
  • Lone Oak Winery in Burleson.  There isn't an indoor option, but they have a beautiful cermony location near the vineyards and you can set up a tent for the reception.  They also provide all of the tables, chairs, linens, etc.

  • I'm not sure about venues but I can tell you that my FI and I did a wine tour in Grapevine and really enjoyed it :)  It's probably a good place to look!

  • I got married at La Buena Vida and LOVED it! We did luck out with perfect weather. Delay is nice, and actually has great "vines", but I personally didn't like the fact that everything had to be indoors. We got married outside at LBV and had the reception there. We had our cake on a wine barrel, built a table top for our guest sign in area that was on tow wine barrels and also used wine barrels as our high boys, so we tried to carry the theme throughout the event. PM me if you want more details or any pics. Cross Timbers is the only other option in Grapevine where you can actually get married. It was a little to casual for our taste, but has great potential. Good luck!
  • My FI had a friend married at Delaney, and he loved it.  We're going out there tomorrow for wine selection because they apparently also have really good wines.

  • Also, I had my rehearsal at Times Ten in Dallas and looooved it, so if you go that route and want some info, just let me know!

  • Thanks for all the advice! Definitely looking into La Buena Vida. So far the cost doesn't look outrageous, which I was expecting with a vineyard, so that's good!
  • Oooh, though looking at the pricing information, seems like a lot of extra costs that will add up. Will probably not do the winery, but I still appriciate all the advice/information.
