Hi ladies!  I need your help please.  I'm getting married in Lakewood April 2011 and am planning the wedding from Kansas.  Been trying to find hair/makeup people (preferably someone who will come to us) and have searched high and low and am not finding anyone in my budget.  Maybe my budget is unrealistic.  Can you recommend so people who aren't too expensive and also give me an idea of what is the going rate for hair/makeup.

    This is from a Knottie on the Colorado board. She had her wedding in Colorado Springs (a little over an hour from where you will be having yours). I know nothing about this person, but figured you might benefit from the review:

    Makeup: A Beautiful Wedding (A). Tiffany did a beautiful job on my makeup. I am kind of anal about my makeup, but she was willing to work with me..detail by detail. I LOVED the final product. The price was $105 for her to come to me at the hotel to do my makeup...which is an AMAZING price.

    I'm using Liz with Beauty on Location by Liz - you can google it. She will travel to you and does hair and makeup. She gave me a really good deal becuase I booked her so far in advance, and also had a tight budget. But I believe I am paying about $150 - $200 for my hair/makeup, and about $100 for hair/makeup for my BM. Definitely contact her and see what she can do! BTW, I found out about her on TK and other girls seem to really love her, if that helps. GL!

    I'm using Lea Curry.  She's a MUA that used to work for MAC and has her own space in a salon in Highlands Ranch.  She's a mutual friend of mine and super cool.  For weddings she charges $150, but that includes your trial and day of makeup ($75 for each).  BMs are $75 each as well.  She will also travel.  Her number is 720.252.3182.

    I also used Lea Curry and she is great! She does great things and is very sweet!!

    FYI, I used Liz for my hair & makeup and she charges for her trials (I thought this was a little bit odd).  Just wanted to warn ya in case you need to fit that into your budget as well.
