Ordering Sarees

Hello,

I just got engaged and we are planning to get married in April of 2012. I am thinking about making all my brides-maids to wear sarees for the wedding, but the thing is I won't be able to to go to india to purchase the sarees. please give me some suggestions as to the websites or stores you have have used. I live in Atlanta.

    Hi, Hi! First cff, CONGRATULATIONS on the engagement! :)

    As for sarees within the states, you can travel to New Jersey. I know some of the brides on here went to Edison. Are you willing to travel within the states or to Canada? There's also an "ex bride" who got married last year and she's in the Toronto area... maybe she can help. Or, utsavsarees.com can help. :)

    Hey there,

    I have a friend who goes to Atlanta a lot and she recommeded Texas Sari Sapne. I haven't been myself, but it might not hurt to check it out. Why ithe store is called Texas when it's in Atlanta, I have no idea!

    Another friend ordered her wedding sari from utsav, she really liked it. You could also try benzerword.com.

    In Houston, TX we have a bunch of Indian stores that can do bridesmaid and wedding saris. Sari Sapne has the best selection. I bought my engagement sari from there. Silk of India is an option. Well, basically walk around Hilcroft (its about a 1/2 mile of indian stores) and you'll find someone who will have bridesmaid saris made for you. Ramesh at sari sapne will order your saris, customize the colors, and have your blouse pieces made for you. I actually bought mine online-cbazaar.com-- not having the best experience with purchasing internationally but otherwise fine.
