Totally NWR...

Hey WI brides! Hope wedding planning is going well. FI and I are going up Milwaukee for Summerfest. We will be there for a few days. Although I want to spend time at the summerfest, do you have any recommendations for things to see and off the beaten path ? Places to eat?

Also, we might be camping a night or two. Any recs? Thanks so much!

    I don't know about camping...
But, if you want a brewry tour, check out Lakefront Brewry.  It is the best in town.  You pay $6, but get a pint glass with it, so call it a a sourvenier.  They are great.

Also, take pictures by the art museum, and have a burger at Solly's or Sobelman's.  They are the best.

Have a great time at Summerfest!

If you like wine, try Vino100.  They do tastings, or you can just stop in for a glass of wine and yummy cheeses.

The lakefront is such a fun place to visit in the summer.  There is so much to do.  You're going to have a blast!

I agree with all the PP, but I have to add to the list:

Leon's Custard- is awesome and the prices can't be beat. (27th and Oklahoma in Milwaukee)

Maxie's Southern Comfort- Wauwatosa- I am not a fan of southern food. My fiancee and I went there on a friends recommendation. I LOVE that place!

Lakefront Brewery is a must! their beer is so tasty and you get the souvenier glass :o)

Alterra Coffee- the one on lake- very cool old building

Third ward- lots of cute shops

Milwaukee Public Market- Lots of good eats!

    Hope this helps :o)
