Non Traditional Dessert?

Is anyone in October doing a non traditional dessert for the Fall season?

As in NOT a cake decorated with fall leaves or cupcakes with autumn colors?

What about a pumpkin spiced cheesecake or is that too tacky?

    We are doing a tiny spice cake so that we have something to cut, but the real dessert is going to be apple cider donuts from a local orchard that we love.

    I think pumpkin spiced cheesecake is an awesome alternative!

    I'll be doing cake - but apple or pumpkin pie (or pie pops!) are a great idea - same with pieces of caramel or candy apples - um, spice cookies/cake - cobblers - lots of different ideas! Let us know what you decide!

    I don't see how pumpkin spiced cheesecake could be tacky - it sounds delicious to me!  We're just doing a normal cake (no leaves on it or flowers) for ours, but I love the idea of donuts  or pie or cheesecake.

    Yummy Cheesecake!!  We are hae cheesecake.  We have thought about doing pumpkin but I think that we are going to to vanilla bean, key lime and snickers.  I obviously don't think it is tacky at all!!

    we are doing a apple cinnamon spice cake and chocolate orange cake!  I think the cheesecake sound great!!!  DO IT!!!!

    We're doing cupcakes for the "cake part" but our buffet also comes with pumpkin pie for dessert.

    We're going with the fall theme and offering our guests a variety of pies (apple, cherry, pecan and pumpkin) topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We'll likely have a small cake for us to cut into though.

    The cheesecake sounds delicious. I don't think it's tacky at all....

    I am doing a cake, but it's not fall flavors (chocolate, vanilla and strawberry).
