Sports bars on the strip

Hi,

We are looking to meet up with folks on Wednesday & Thursday to watch NHL and NBA playoff games.

Can anyone recommend any bars that would be good to watch them at?

TIA

The Pub @ Monte Carlo. They usually have a bunch of tvs playing all the games, and they have some good happy hour specials too

I'm sure the sports books will have them on the big screens too.  You can take your own drinks down there like we did (after we mixed them in our room).

Every hotel (with a casino) has a built in sports bar-the sports book.  Put a little money on the action and your drinks are free.

Very true.  Just be careful - some sports books require a minimum bet for drink tickets, too.  The minimum may be a bit more than some folks are willing to put down.  Also, some sports books only offer drink tickets for bets on certain sports (i.e., horse racing, etc.).

We go every year at the start of NCAA Basketball Tourney/March Madness and reserve a spot for our party in a sports book.  There is always a minimum betting requirement (so far the smallest minimum has been $500).  Therefore, just make sure you are not trying to go during a huge sporting event or you may be out of luck.

I would just do a little research before meeting at a sports book.  Other than that, we also frequent The Pub and Le Burger Brasserie.

    We are doing our Meet & Greet at The Pub <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />

Yeah, it just depends where and when you go.  Some places offer unlimited drinks while others hand out drink tickets per bet.  She mentioned she was going during the NBA and NHL Finals, so that is why I wanted to caution her there may be different offers/policies during that time.
