help budget wedding!

Hello everyone!

I am looking for venues to hold my wedding at. I would like the ceremony and reception to be in the same place if possible. It is so hard to find a place with a reasonable price. My fiance and I are paying for the wedding ourselves. So, we don't have much to work with. My budget is about $6,000 for the whole shabang. I've read up on all the ways to save which sounds simple enough but I don't know where to hold it at. Please help!

    Not sure what area you are using but we are having our wedding at the Liriodendren in Bel Air, Md on a Friday evening in January....for the wedding and ceremony and for the reception it is $800.
    So....look to off season and maybe a Friday evening....a lot less money and very sweet and elegant.

    FYI....A wedding at Celebrations at the Bay in Pasadena will run you around $20,000.  A little ridiculous, if you ask me.
