Hi ladies - I hope you all had a great weekend. I just wanted to share my exciting news with you ladies...
I have a sister (same dad different mom) that lives in Puerto Rico that I've only seen 2 times
. The first time was when she was about 3 and the last time I saw her she had just turned 8 years old. I've never had a good relationship with my dad and things got even worse when I had my son...for some reason he felt that I should move back to PR to raise him so that he could be around
his side of the family. Since then he's never allowed me to be a part of my sister's life. I visit PR at least twice a year and have always tried to see her, write her, etc. with no luck. Well, after 6 looong years we will be reunited this Thursday!! I came in contact with her godmother - through my grandmother and she then passed my info along to her. She called me Saturday, we talked for a long time and she asked if she could come visit before school starts (she's going to the 9th grade) in August. So, I found her a flight and she'll be here Thursday evening
. She'll be staying with us until Tuesday so hopefully we can get some fun stuff in while she's here. I can't wait!!! Even though this throws a dent in my budget...I think this is well worth it (I'll hold off on the starbucks for a bit
