Florida-South Florida

November Weather...

Hello ladies,

Ok so we're currently livingi n Texas & have never been in South Florida durring November, yet thats when we'd like to host our wedding. I see all over weather sites that November is prime time hurricane season. AHHHH! Is it crazy to want an outdoor ceremony in November? Is it usually raining cats & dogs? Unppredictable? In your opions what is the BEST month to wed in the area? We also looked at June, but it says the heat can become unbearable!

Thanks sooo much ya'll!

Erica

    Hey ...

I got married November 28th this past year and it was 73 and not a CLOUD in the sky.

Hurricane season actually ends the first few days of November and the likelyhood of a hurricane in november is VERY low. June is known for crazy rain - but its florida, so ANYTHING can happen.

If you google the farmers almanac and type in your date in the weather history, you can see what the weather has been the past few years

    good luck :)

I think end of November to December should be ok...Like PP said Hurricane season ends like the first week and usually its really bad only until end of September and begining of October...But its taking chances each year seems to change a bit...im doing an outdoor ceremony and picked March cause in my opinion it seems to be the most dry and cool... You should be fine. My MOH got married on 11/27 and the weather was beautiful. It will still be somewhat hot though. We don't get cool weather til December here, but you shouldn't have to worry about hurricanes. Just think about fans and shade stations for an outdoor event.

We are getting married on November 6 and if its anything like historical November weather, it will be gorgeous! Very true that May-June are the hot/rainy months and August-October will be the cautious hurricane months.  All in all, a November should be a great month!

I agree with PP's you will be fine, def. search and see what the weather has been so you have an idea. You will not get hit by a hurricane in Nov. since it ends in Nov. the busiest time in the season is usually August/Sept.

Hurricane season actually ends November 30 but you should be fine. I think the latest a hurricane has ever hit Florida in recent years is Wilma and that was the second to last week of October. November weather is really nice.

I got married November 14th last year and the weather was absolutely perfect the entire time we were in Florida (Nov. 11-21).  Very little humidity, 75 degrees, and sunny every single day. However, I will say we were pretty worried the week before our wedding while Hurricane Ida was in the Gulf and it wasn't clear exactly where it would hit (it ended up not hitting Florida). Since all of November is technically hurricane season, you may want to consider buying wedding insurance.  We did and it was so worth it for the peace of mind.
