Maryland Laws & Getting Ordained

So...... I need help. I'm freaking out ever since we hit the 199th day until our wedding. My fiance and I are having our late best friends father marry us. I'm trying to read the Maryland Laws as to if he can get ordained over the internet and marry us and it be legit or not, but of course- like any law- it's never really cut and dry. Has anyone had experience with this that can give me some cut and dry advice? I feel like I'm going to pull my hair out.

Call the courthouse for the county where you are getting married and ask them directly.  We got married in Anne Arundel county and our officiant was ordained through the Universal Life Church, which was free and took about two seconds.  I called the courthouse and they assured me that it was perfectly legal, so we went ahead with it.
