The knot and contests?

Why is it such a big problem to ask for help with a contest?
I wouldn't have a problem with clicking a link to help out a fellow bride.

On this board, I would do it for one of you all; especially someone that posts a lot. Other boards just do not like it, as they feel that ladies are strangers, so you are just using them.

IIRC, the request asking for help was this girl's first post ever on TK.  She didn't say hi ya'll, she didn't introduce herself, she didn't ask if it was okay to do. Part of the objection was that in real life there's no way you'd go bussin up into a room and say hey hi, could you help my friends win this contest.  It's part decorum/protocol and the other (maybe even larger) part is that because it violates the terms and conditions agreement every knottie signs when they become a member, it actually is a problem.  I imagine it falls under the heading of solicitation.  without regard to vendor or bride, solicitation is a tk no-no.  hope that helped.
