The Dell Lea?

Hi there,

Newly engaged and we have started to plan for a September 8,2012 wedding, Soon I know!  We are looking at venues starting Tomorrow and I just heard of the Dell Lea in Chichester, has anyone checked it out or been to a wedding there?
Thanks!
Kim

Re: The Dell Lea?

  • I looked at it! I had gotten a few VERY positive recommendations from friends, and had to check I out. I would have more strongly considered it if we were going to get married there, too (but we knew we were getting married in a church). Behind the converted barn, they have a yard with a gorgeous view that would be SO pretty for a ceremony. Overall, the woman we met with was nice and helpful. The inside of the barn is rustic, but pretty, too. I would say our main concern was the fact that the dance floor is a step down (which sounds weird, but it looks fine), and we had guests who would not have been able to access it due to a disability. I think it also is a very affordable option. Definitely check it out!

Thank you very much! Definitely going to check it out!
  • You're welcome! Like I said, I know a couple of people who got married there, and they loved it and had a great experience. :)

  • I was also thinking about calling them for a tour.  Does anyone have any pictures of the facility or know of any websites that have pictures (maybe a photographer's website)?

My fiance and I just looked at it this past weekend and are going to book it.  We loved the owner Katrina.  A friend knows her from outside the business and suggested we looked at it.  She's very willing to work with us, very accomodating.  I'm trying to find a church in the area to hold the ceremony b/c I'm nervous that it could rain.  The outside is gorgeous though and I'm planning on taking our pictures there.  I'd love to plan on having the ceremony there, it's so pretty, but if it rained and we had to move the ceremony inside I know I'd be really disappointed to not have the 'walking down the aisle.'

I've never attended a wedding there or spoken to anyone who has, but just thought I'd chime in that we loved it and Katrina.
