Florist: booked. Phew!

Booked my florist today. She is the only person I met with but I felt like we really clicked and she understood my vision. I was going to get a few other quotes to compare but was feeling really stressed so I decided to just book her.

So happy!

    Good for you!

    Had to cancel mine...just wasn't communicating very well.  Think I'm going to do all my own now....just too expensive!

    I'm doing my own flowers too, with a little help from my cousin who used to run a floral shop.  She's going to help me assemble everything, and gave me a tip to a store where she LOVES the silk flowers!!

    The person I booked is very reasonable. I am paying her a decent amount but it includes all bouquets, centerpieces for all tables, and some additional arrangements.

    Halie, I don't know if I have specific questions to offer for your meeting but I would stress that if you have a certain vision for your wedding it is important that your florist "gets" it. Also, depending on your budget, ask for creative ways to stretch it. For example, my ceremony and reception are in the same place so some of my ceremony decor may end up doing double duty as reception decor. Also, this is fairly common so you may have already thought of it but definitely consider using your bouquet and your BM bouquets as centerpieces. You're not going to carry them around all night anyway!

    Most of all you should go with a florist who you feel will enhance your vision for your day. Good luck!
