Low cost food options

Our wedding is January 2013 in Winter Park, FL and we are paying for it ourselves with limited funds.  Our reception venue reqiures a licensed and insured caterer & bartender (we can supply own alcohol).  No problem I thought.  Well, I was wrong.  I'm looking for some low cost food options that include a licensed and insured caterer. Thinking like $15-$20 per person.  I'm ok with outside the box, I don't want traditional wedding food.  Have even been looking at fun options like Mellow Mushroom to give an example.  Has anyone encountered this problem - or have any suggestions or tips?  Would be much appreciated.

    We're going with 4 Rivers BBQ - it's outside of the box and very likely within your budget, if you're open to that type of food. I read a blog awhile back where the bride had her wedding catered by Black Bean Deli, but I'm not sure of the price.

    We used black bean deli for our rehearsal dinner (at our house) and the food was awesome and the price was very reasonable. Everyone kept telling us how much they loved it.

    For our wedding we used magic occasions catering. On their website they have an economy package which is $23 a person and includes cake. and linens.

    BBQ for sure! OR why not have a restaurant cater for you???? Even Chili's does catering..
