Night of the wedding- What hotel?

Where are y'all staying the night of your wedding? I can't decide!

Our flight for our HM doesn't leave until late afternoon, so we can pretty much stay wherever.

We just stayed where our guests and WP were staying, so that I could wake up and have breakfast with them in the morning (almost all our guests and our entire WP were from across the country and we hardly ever get to see them). In our case, that meant staying at a Holiday Inn Express in downtown FW.

If we hadn't needed to see our guests, I probably would have looked for a swanky hotel near the airport. Sorry, I know that doesn't help since I don't know any names :)
  • We stayed at the Gaylord. It was great! :)

  • Kind of depends on where your wedding is and how far you want to travel from your reception to the hotel.  If you want to be near the airport, I'd second the Gaylord recommendation.  I like the Omni Mandalay, too, in Las Colinas.

If you are wanting to stay in Dallas, I've heard great things about the Hotel Zaza, Hotel St. Germain, and the Stoneleigh.  Depends, also, on how much you want to spend!

  • We stayed at the same hotel as our guests as well -- Homewood Suites in Richardson/Plano off 190/75.  Great hotel, highly recommend.

We then stayed the Four Season for two nights.  It was meh.  Not what I expected from a 5-star resort.  We probably wouldn't stay there again.

  • If we hadn't stayed at the same hotel as our family and OOT guests (SpringHill Suites in Addison), we would have opted for the W, Hotel Zaza or the Mansion at Turtle Creek.
  • We are staying at the Belmont. They have brunch on Sunday mornings so we are doing that the next morning.
  • We stayed at Hotel St. Germaine in Uptown -- definitely one of the highlights of the night!

  • As many PPs have done, we stayed at the same hotel as our guests (Hyatt Regency Dallas) then had a one day mini-moon at Hotel Zaza. We loved Zaza and if you want something fun and glitzy, it definitely fits the bill.
  • We are staying @ the Westin Hotel by the airport cause our flight is super early the next morning.  But just a tip, wherever you book ask if they have any wedding night specials for the bride and groom.  We got the President Suite for $140!!
  • The night before I'm staying with my girlies at the W and then the night of we are staying at the Joule....I might be biased though :)

  • We are staying at The W.  We aren't able to go on a HM immediately after because of our jobs, so we are splurging a tad.  I have always wanted to stay there and that's what we are going to do for a "mini-HM."  We were also considering the new Omni or the Gaylord, but ultimately chose the W because it is in downtown and I just love the skyline!

  • We are staying at the Double Tree by Hilton Campbell, we are also having our ceremony and reception at the same place.  My out of town guest (around 11 people) and I will be checking in this Friday and will not be leaving until Monday.  Everyone is so excited.
