Magazine Suggestions?

Hey ladies...so now it's time for me to order a whole bunch of wedding magazines, but I'm clueless which ones I would like.  I already bought the Knot and Martha Stewart.

I am doing a modern catholic wedding, very sleek, with very creative (read: nerdy) and personal touches at the reception.  An emphasis on fun and being super personal.  So, that's my style.  Very modern/sleek, as well as DIY.

And suggestions?

Re: Magazine Suggestions?

  • If you're really unsure (and you don't feel that Martha and The Knot are enough) then go to a bookstore and browse the magazine section to find ones that suit you.

  • Definitely invest in a planning folder!  It'll help you visualize your day and you can highlight what you like out of the magazines.  It's a good start!

  • Get your local TK for regional vendors.  I see you live in Boston; Pittsburgh has their own magazines (Pittsburgh and Whirl) and both put out local wedding guides, too, which have helped tremendously - I'm assuming Boston does the same!

  • I bought The Knot and two others, It took me days to go through The Knot but I went to the other two in one evening total. The other two had such similar adds that I didn't really get any additional ideas from the second one. If I decide to buy more later it will only be The Knot.
