Christmas Cards

How many of you ladies still send out Christmas/Holiday cards?  I think I'm a dying breed.  I can count on one hand how many I receive.  I used to get so many:(

I do.  I make sure they are ready to be mailed on Dec 1 each year.  I  even have a notebook where I keep track each year of who we sent to and who we received from.

I also make sure I write some sort of personal note in each one.  I hate the ones that are just a picture with the names printed on it.

Not sending them this year- all of the wedding mailings burnt me out this year!

I def have noticed a dramatic decrease in the # of people that send them now!

Has anyone ever heard that you are supposed to send Christmas cards to every person that attended your wedding?  I have never ever heard this but I have two friends that each did this and said it was customary.  We did not do this when we got married.  Granted a lot of those same people are on my Christmas card list, but  not all of them.

Yup. I have actually heard that it's anyone who was invited. But I'm not sure for how many years. But for this first Christmas we are definitely. (My sister got married five years ago. The first Christmas after she sent cards. The second she sent Christmas / baby birth announcements to everyone. By year three she trimmed her list and has continued to trim it since.

I still send cards....I personally think it is tacky to try and send an email or e card and I think it is a nice touch.

I haven't been sending them but oddly enough my FI always sends them.  I bought some cards that went to a good cause this year and I think I might send a few myself, like to my MOH and BMs.

Maybe it's my age(47), but I always send cards, and I always get a bunch in return. I can't imagine not sending them out! I took some neat landscape pictures this year and found a pretty Fall one for our Christmas card. I'll have to be more on the ball this winter and take some good winter ones for next years card. Although I've done handmade cards in the past (with ruber stamps, cut-outs, etc), this year a photo on a folded card(custom designed by me) will do the trick.
