Re: Recipe Thursday

  • LOL re your screen.

Does anyone have some good ground meat recipes for the crockpot? We have some hamburger meat that's about to go bad but we don't want to just make hamburgers . . . and the extent of my cooking at this point is "Put in crockpot and press 8-10 hours."

    Thank you :)

  • all recipes with directions that say "put in crockpot. cook on low for 8-10 hours" are my specialties too, hahahaha! evidenced by the fact that this is what is cooking in my crockpot RIGHT NOW and it smelled delightful even after only 20 minutes of cooking:

I got some blue cheese crumbles to melt into the meat once it is done, I can't wait to eat them tonight!

and bridetobe I would do a chili if I were you, mmmm. the crockpot is my favorite way to cook chili. I found ths on pinterest awhile ago and have been wanting to try it!

Also, this is something I shouldn't share. But I tried it last night and fiance licked the bowl clean. We didn't even dip anything in it.

Just put a few tablespoons of dry funfetti cake mix, two tablespoons of greek yogurt, and like 8 tablespoons of non-fat cool whip into a bowl. mix up. eat. delicious. It's technically supposed to be a fruit dip or a cracker dip. but I just ate it. so dangerous.
  • Thank you!!!! I will leave out the cilantro, though - TASTES LIKE SOAP! (Seriously, I cannot eat cilantro and I am a very adventurous eater. There's something wrong with my tastebuds. Anything with cilantro in it tastes like dishsoap.)

And omg that funfetti sounds like the death of me. Or, like something that I will eat myself and not save for fiance. :) hahahahah
