Ideas?

So we bought these at a resale type store for $1 and plan on decorating/painting them to use as our cake topper. They are actually salt and pepper shakers but we'll just fill the holes so paiting over that should cover the filler. Problem is, I've got no idea how to decorate these. Any ideas? Colors and cake are aqua blue, white and chocolate brown, FI will wear brown. TIA!!

Maybe put a little cowboy hat on one (tipped sideways) and a veil on the other?

Are they textured at all? I can't really tell from the picture, but it looks like they possibly have some dimensional detail (Raised or depressed places). If it were me.. I would spray paint them solid white, use some aqua and brown to highlight the details, I would probably put names or initials and then possibly add a cutesy little veil (You could make one pretty easily) and just hot glue it on the top.
