Sandals Butlers

We just booked our honeymoon!! We are staying at the La Toc resort at St. Lucia and we are so excited!! We opted for the butler services and are really excited about them! However, we talked to one person we met at a party who said she had a bad experience with the Sandals butlers. It isn't too late to get a different room and get rid of the butler. I was just wondering if any of you have ever used that service. Any information is appreciated!

    I've had a Butler at the Sandal's Resort (not St. Lucia) and had a great experience. They carry a cell phone on them and you just call them when you need something... (i.e a drink on the beach, lunch brought to you, extra towel) It was great. I wouldn't do it again due to cost, but didn't have a bad experience at all.

    We stayed at the Grande in St. Lucia in a Rondoval and had an amazing experience with our two butlers. They reserved beach chairs for us without us requesting them, brought us drinks and snacks throughout the day without requesting them, booked tours for us/dinners, escorted us around the resort, etc. We learned a lot from them too about the island and culture. I would def. recommend keeping your booking. The perks are worth it to me.

    We are booked for Sandals La Toc  also and have booked a butler room. We have heard several recommendations from people that have been there who told us to get the butler service at least for the HM. Most people said they probably would not do it again due to the cost but are very glad they had it at least for that one time.
