Honeymoons!!!

I would love for people to share their honeymoon experiences with me, where you went? was it all inclusive? and that sort of thing. We are trying to figure out where we want to go and figured I would ask all of you on your experiences....

    Hi Maria,

Just returned from our honeymoon last week.  We went to Los Cabos, Mexico & stayed at an all inclusive in San Jose del Cabo, 20min outside of Cabo San Lucas.  It's a nice resort, and geared mostly to families.  However, there was a good mix of people of all different ages, so there were young people there too.

We filled our honeymoon with all these excursions - horseback riding, atv-ing, ziplining, snorkeling, booze cruise.  But we also got a lot of relaxing time by the pool, had an hour long massage, and ate tons/drank a lot.

I definitely recommend going to an all inclusive, and I recommend Los Cabos in general.  It was a good time!

We are going all-inclusive to Aruba here:   http://www.riu.com/en-us/Paises/aruba/palmbeach/hotel-riu-palace-aruba/index.jsp

We cannot wait!  Many people recommended it.

Last year we went here- it was fabulous in Bermuda!  Highly recommended!

Not all inclusive but we didn't want one. We loved the hotel and had fun ziplining, kayking and MH got to surf for a few days.

We went to Hawaii (Maui/Kauai) We did not do all-inclusive -- not our style.  We stayed at the Four Seasons in Maui ("loved" does not begin to cover it) and the Hyatt in Kauai (it was nice, but I think it is very, very overrated -- definitely not a 5-star hotel in my mind).

We haven't taken our honeymoon yet, but we are going to Kauai for 12 days.  We are using a time share for 1 week and paying for a room for the rest of the time (all Marriot.)  My fiance and I are foodies (my FI is a professional chef), so all inclusive resorts don't really appeal to us.  We plan to explore the island (helicopter ride, hiking, snorkeling, visiting botanical gardens) as well as relax and have full beach days at the resort.  We also plan to find local places to try food that are off the beaten path.

    Good luck!

We went to Jamaica.  Stayed at Couples Negril for 8 days - it was an all inclusive and we absolutely loved it there.  The beaches were insanely clean and crystal clear, the excursions were fun, shopping was amazing!, went on catamarans and glass bottom boat rides, went on a cliff and watched the sunset and some cliff divers, the people in jamaica are so friendly, we would love to go back...

We just got back from The Royal in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.  All-inclusive and AMAZING!  The service was outstanding, food was delicious, our room was huge and kept impeccably clean throughout our stay.  The staff was so accomodating and we felt like a king and queen- they treated us so wonderfully.   We had an oceanfront suite and it was well worth the money!  I would highly recommend this resort. =)  Check out more reviews on tripadvisor.  I think they are ranked #2.
