Info on Antigua honeymoons

Hello, I'm not too new to the boards but I am new to posting and asking questions. Wondering if anyone can tell me about the rooms at Sandals Antigua. My FI and I are booking it this week but I don't know what room to book. Anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks!!

The Sandals website seems to always have the 60% off or some kind of sale, but yes this one ends tomorrow. I've researched the Rondavols, but they don't seem private. I just want to know which room is worth the money because they are a bit expensive.

I am looking at tripadvisor right now... To me the more expensive rooms dont seem worth it...

The entire Mediterranean village is newer than the "Caribbean" side... I would go with those, though I'm sure they have refurbished everything... I live in Antigua... I haven't been in one of the older rooms, but I have been in one of the plunge pool villas on the Med side - those are pretty sweet, but probably the most expensive!

Thanks everyone! We booked our honeymoon last night at Sandals Antigua in the Portofino suite.

We went last November - the 8th through the 15th and it was sunny and 85 the entire week, except one morning when it drizzled a little, but it cleared up before lunch.

November weather should be great!! Knock on wood, no more storms will be passing through (the season keeps ending later and later but we rarely get anything in Nov)... and it should start to cool down a bit - this summer was VERY hot. (--and by cool i mean 80s and not 90s)

The casino attached to Sandals (Grand Bay Casino) is pretty nice, and probably the one I would recommend the most - I go there myself to the sports bar sometimes.

There's another one further down the road called Madison's Casino, which I've heard is nice but not played at myself. (and by play, I mean slots :D I don't play poker, craps, etc.)

Sassy, have you ever been to Grand Princess Casino?

I contacted just about every casino on the island that would reply to me and none of them have craps; that one claims it does on the website but I haven't gotten a response. :-) Evidently Kings Casino used to but got rid of it because not enough people played; now they have blackjack, roulette, caribbean stud, three card, spanish 21 and two texas hold'em tables; besides slots of course.

Bad news vegasgroom! I asked one of my friends who is a regular casino-goer - he said no casinos offer craps :S I'm really sorry!

I've been to Grand Princess back in the day when it first opened and it was the new place to go, but haven't been in a lonnngggg time, so I'm not sure how it is. Grand Bay and Madison's are relatively new. King's Casino is like the trusted and true casino that's been there forever and will probably never ever go away - I think more old-time locals go there though (my grandfather was a regular when he was alive! lol).
