I was wondering if you received your pictures yet from Perskie?  Would love to hear your review on the photos, etc. (I read your review/recap post -but you didn't have the pictures yet). I will be using them in 4 weeks and 1 day!   We are using sean, I think you used Ken, right?

Hi! You must be so excited!! I called and they told us that our online proofs and proof CD's should be ready in about a week and a half.

And yes, we used Ken - he was our lead photographer, and Julia Perskie (in a word - she was simply amazing!) was our second photographer.

We really enjoyed working with them both. We had specifically requested Ken after really liking his work in the albums that they showed us on our visit there. (Most of the albums that we picked out as favs, it turned out he had done them). The only thing with him was that he was very much "business like". He did smile a bit, but for the most part he was super focused - but at all times extremely pleasant and professional. I am really looking forward to seeing his work in about a week and half!

Julia on the other hand, was just super! She had tons of personality, really went for the unusual or unique shot, and we and our guests loved her so much that when her 6 hours were up, and the reception was still in full swing, we asked her  to stay an additional hour!

So, overall, I highly rate Perskie and the job that they did. Ken did everything that we asked of him, and we really have no complaints. You will love them! We looked at  a least 3 photographers before deciding upon them, but in the end  the quality of their pictures, for the prices that they charged, made it a no-brainer for us!

My advice in general? I was told this a million times, but forgot to do it, so I'll pass it along to you, because I wish I had:

Make a note, even if on an index card, of any specific shots/poses  that you "have to have" taken! If you haven't done so already, visit other photographer's websites/blogs and use google to view other weddings shot at your venue, to "scout" out any shots/poses that you may want or special locations that you may want to  be photographed at. Your photog will no doubt have great ideas, but it doesn't hurt to have a few  of your own :-)

Before the wedding, I googled all of the wedding pictues taken at Antrim 1844 that I could find, as well as found a lot on other photographer's sites...and saw so many shots/poses that I knew I had to have...but I forgot to write them down, and before I knew it, time was moving right along on wedding day... and only after the reception and in the days that followed did I remember that we didn't do a pose or shoot at a location that I had wanted!

Sorry so long, but hope this is helpful :-) Have fun in your final weeks of preparation!!

Thanks, yes very helpful.  They contacted me the other day and I told them that I had some must-have pics that I have been collecting and she told me to email them to her and she would send them to Sean.  I think I am going to print them out and take them with me that day as you suggested.  I have some general wedding pics and then pics taken at my venue.

I did the same thing with the albums for our visit - most of the albums that I liked were done by Sean.  However, she told me one was done by Sean and it turned out it was another photographer.  It bothered me because it was my favorite album and I ended up running into the bride at my job and she told me it was Colleen who was the photographer.  I guess it was an honest mistake.  I just hope the other ones that I liked were done by Sean.

Yes, I am getting so excited.  I can't wait!  Let me know what you think of the pictures once you get them.

    Thanks Again!!!
