BM's Tea - I have a bridesman

I have 3 bridesmaids and 1 bridesman in my side of the birdal party.  I'm going to invite the bridesman to the BM's tea, but how do I make it comfortable for him, too?  It's not going to be girly or anything - we'll probably go to a restaurant and sit on the patio (it'll probably have to be dinner due to my work schedule) and chit-chat, then I'll give them their gifts.

    The only problem I have seen so far is that my matron of honor hasn't really been involving him, which I'm going to talk to her about when we have lunch next week.  He's gay, my matron of honor is conservative Christian...but they have known each other for at least 10 yrs.  I don't really think he'll be uncomfortable, but I just want my matron of honor to accept that this is not the most traditional wedding in the world (even though it will be in a Catholic church).
