elm's mansion is gorgeous!  i pass by it all the time.  Also, House of Broel is pretty too.  it is small, so keep that in mind when planning.  City Park is beautiful.  These are great choices and I hope you enjoy your visit here :)

We had our reception at City Park last weekend (Pavilion of Two Sisters).  The staff is WONDERFUL to work with.  They took care of every detail.  The food is absolutely delicious.  The only thing- they only do tastings twice a year, so we didn't taste the food until a month before the wedding but it didn't matter because it was great and there was a LOT of it.
I have heard that there is a situation with amps for musicians at the Peristyle, but I don't know details.

The Pavilion of Two Sisters at City Park is a really pretty venue. I went to a wedding there about a month ago and the atmosphere and service was great.

thanks for your replies! we looked all the options and decided the Benachi House and Gardens was the best choice for us. i love love love the Peristyle but was not thrilled about the parkview terrace so we will do ur pictures there instead, as it is only 2 minutes away from our venue. we're very excited, and quite pleased that we will get the suite there for the wedding night also, a great perk!
