Kansas City Wedding Ceremony Locations

Hi!

My fiance and I are wanting to have an outdoor wedding in August 2011, in the KC area. We live in Overland Park so anywhere near our house would be a plus, but doesn't need to be. Anyone know of some great outdoor ceremony locations? Thank you & happy planning!

Loose Park, The Terrace on Grand, any golf course (and there are some GORGEOUS ones in Johnson County), Hawthorne House (Parkville), I think there is a place near or on the Plaza, Longview Mansion (Lee's Summit).  To name a few, the two I mentioned in MO outside of downtown/Plaza are both gorgeous sites so you might want to check them out just in case.  Hope this helps!

The botanical gardens on Overland Park host weddings ceremonies I believe.

We wanted outdoors, too. Shawnee Mission Park is pretty. If your budget is a little bigger, you could check out Mildale Farm, it's in Edgerton and ran by JOCO Parks & Rec. It's gorgeous. And I echo the golf courses. We're trying to decide between Mildale Farm and a golf course, Falcon Lakes. These are hard decisions!

I would also recommend Terrace on the Green it is in Leawood and backs up to a golf course but isn't part of the golf course.

Kristen how did I not realize you were getting married in KC before?  I know you (or FI) have family here but it never crossed my mind.  Hahaha, I was confused for a second thinking I was on Oct 10 brides board.  I guess I haven't adequately stalked your bio.

The Elms is great too, lots of history (Al Capone type history)!

When I got the info for Terrace on the Green, I wasn't all that impressed. A lot of typos, and it wasn't clear about the catering policy (which has recently changed). Just a FYI.
