ATTN: Piquette Plant/T-Plex Brides or Possible Brides!

Hello ladies!

In case you have not seen Ms. Aimee's post below, the few of us posting there have decided to try to put together a mini-GTG for T-Plex brides or those considering the T Plex. This will be a great opportunity to bounce ideas off each other and discuss decor that we may be selling after our weddings! We are currently looking at next Friday (December 23) or the weekend of January 7. What works for you? Are you interested? Where are you located?

I'm thinking somewhere in downtown Detroit might be nice, if it is central for everyone interested. I live in Wyandotte but work in Detroit, and I'm willing to go anywhere! :)

    Thanks for starting this thread! I'd love to hear everyone's ideas and how we can maybe collectively save some money with our decor.

    It sounds like it might be a bit rushed/stressful trying to do this December 23rd. I'm game for the weekend of January 7th!

    The first place I thought of was Good Girls Go to Paris in Midtown, but there are lots of other great places we could meet at too.

    Also, fyi, I may be buying globe string lights in the next few days; Target has them for $8.99/25ft strand for the holidays and it's one of the cheapest options I've seen.

    I'm game! What about January 8th at like 11am for a brunch? Just looked at the web site and it looks like the perfect brunch-y place (never been but it looks great!)

    I'd say January 7th but I just looked at my calendar and right at noon I have a dentist appointment followed by a wedding dress appointment!

    Also, for decor I am thinking of making paper luminaries for tables and maybe using hanging paper lanterns.

    I've seen the t-plex with string lights and it looks very pretty!

    January 8th at 11am for brunch sounds perfect. Good Girls Go to Paris crepes are super tasty, both the savory and sweet ones.

    Hi girls!

    Are you sure we can't do this Christmas eve?! Haha, that is, unfortunately the only weekend I'll be in town. 

    Maybe I can work some things out and make an extra trip down. It would be cool to bounce ideas off of each other.... especially since you basically can do whatever you want to the place. 

    I went to look at a set up a couple months ago, and the bride brough in couches and chairs to set up a 'lounge room'. It was a cool idea. But probably a lot of time/money.

    I'm maid of honor in a T-Plex wedding on April 7th.  I just texted her after I read this thread to see if she's available Jan 8th at 11am to go.  If not, I'll go in her place if you don't mind.  She isn't on this forum, so I'm her liazon lol

    So is everyone pretty firm on the date/time? Can I safely put it in my calendar?

    I'm good with the date/time/location (January 8, 11am, Good Girls Go to Paris)!

    I bought the globe string lights from Target yesterday. They were just marked down 30% to $6.29/25 ft strand. We bought all 14 boxes from the east Ann Arbor location and will probably buy a few more boxes.

    When we meet up, I'll bring photos and a few items that we're using to share our vision and ideas with everyone. I can't wait!

    I'm late to the party here (and super new to the Knot) but I would love to meet up with you beautiful brides!  I've talked with Patricia at the T-Plex and we have an appotintment on December 27--the first place we're looking! It would be great to hear what your experiences have been with the T-Plex (and perhaps your other venue experiences were) when we make the call. So, if you wouldn't mind someone much much much less advanced in the process joining I'd love to join you!
